It was released by Epic Records on November 26, 1991, more than four years after Jackson's previous album, Bad. Co-produced by Jackson, Bill Bottrell, Teddy Riley, and Bruce Swedien, the album was Jackson's first since Forever, Michael (1975) without longtime collaborator Quincy Jones. Featured appearances include Heavy D, Princess StŽphanie of Monaco, Slash and Wreckx-n-Effect. Dangerous is widely described as an R&B album with elements of new jack swing, industrial, funk, hip hop, electronic, gospel, classical and rock. Twelve of the album's fourteen songs were written or co-written by Jackson, discussing topics like racism, poverty, romance, self-improvement, and the welfare of children and the world.

I’ve had the CD for decades. I never heard it like this. This vinyl pressing really opens up the landscape on these MJ jams. Details in every groove that I honestly never heard before. Makes it a whole new album. Excellent pressing, flat, clear dynamic and the red black swirl is a treat to look at in the light. I was considering getting the picture discs originally but the reviews on that weren’t positive. This came along and I am dazzled. Glad I waited. If you’re a fan, this will satisfy. Get it! Jc
A fantastic album chalked with great Michael Jackson tunes. Thanks to JOCO, I now own it on red colored viny with black smokey swirls! It's gorgeous. Sounds so good too. And JOCO made sure it arrived at the estimated time.. and always in excellent condition!
